Acceleron’s research focuses on the biology of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) protein superfamily, a large and diverse group of molecules that regulate a wide range of tissue and cell functions during normal development and growth, following injury, and in disease.
Our strategy is to develop therapies that target and regulate various pathways in the TGF-β superfamily, which our scientists and collaborators have found to play critical roles in cancer and other diseases. These insights have enabled us to build and continue to expand a pipeline of innovative products with unique therapeutic potential.
